Passion is the driving factor behind everything we do. Without passion fueling the fire, nothing will be burning. I did not think about this before the Solomon Program. To have persistence you have to have passion.

The guest speakers and the mentors that I had the pleasure of hearing from and working with have changed my outlook, and they have made me a more grateful and more aware person overall.

The Solomon Leadership Program has helped me the most with my communication skills. My mentor pushed me to speak up when I had something to say and helped me when I had difficulty formulating what was on my mind.

I have realized that using these pillars in my everyday life is so important. I am inspired to the point that when I get in the car on the way home, I tell my mom and dad everything I have learned in becoming a leader after each pillar session.

The Solomon Leadership Program has been a journey, strengthening my moral compass, enriching my practical knowledge through mentorship, and surrounding me with a community of like-minded peers.

The Solomon Program has taught me the importance of self-value and staying true to yourself. You cannot lead others before learning to lead yourself.

Something my group discussed significantly throughout the duration of the program is that a key factor in being a leader is having good judgment. It does not matter how good your initial idea is; without making the right decisions, further down the line, you will not succeed. Judgment is a key factor in determining whether you succeed in any avenue in life.

Throughout the program, my confidence skyrocketed. I became more confident in who I am as a person and my decisions and learned to trust myself

I started to set bigger, more important goals that went beyond personal success and included making a difference in my community and school.

The program has given me a greater sense of purpose and honesty in my approach to leadership. I’ve learned that effective leadership is about serving people with honesty and interest rather than just gaining positions of power or influence.

My judgment has matured by leaps and bounds since I joined Solomon. I have seen myself taking longer to make decisions and really looking over my choices carefully. I find myself thinking with more clarity, thinking not just of myself but those around me and how my choices will affect them.

Participating in the Solomon Program inspired me to follow through and apply lessons to my daily life. I have learned to find appreciation for others’ differences, to speak up about my core values, and to find a clear purpose so that I can be persistent in my life.

I learned the power and importance of organization—the value of having a system built on values, morals, clear steps, and effective operations. My perspective has also shifted to one of 'I can do it if I push through,' and I developed a mindset of perseverance in the face of obstacles. Lastly, I gained a deeper appreciation for those around me and a newfound respect for what they do.

Nothing is comparable to the one-on-one conversations I got to have with my mentors.

I now approach problems and challenges with a different mindset, using the pillars we learned to guide me.

There was a specific moment when I became inspired to take action. It was a very real “lightbulb” moment in which I knew that I needed to do something to make my dream become reality.
