Attendance

You are required to review the program schedule and ensure it does not conflict with any prior commitments. In the case of a regularly scheduled sports practice or similar, you must clear your absences with the coach/director before committing to the program.

You must notify the Fellow Liaison of all absences from the program for a scheduled event such as a family vacation, recital, or performance, well in advance. The curriculum homework must still be completed on time. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the program.

In case of illness, you must notify the Fellow Liaison as soon as possible. The curriculum homework must still be completed on time.

Fellows who miss a session without notifying the Fellow Liaison will be immediately dismissed from the program. Showing disrespect to their mentor’s time and the Program in this way is not tolerated.

Fellows who miss two sessions in a row will be dismissed. (Extenuating circumstances may be taken into consideration in this case, but often we then encourage the Fellow to instead take the program the following year.)

All sessions begin and end promptly. You should plan to arrive 30-15 minutes before the session, and plan for traffic, etc in advance. Arriving more than 10 minutes after the session starts is unacceptable and will result in a warning.
